Terms and conditions

These terms apply to everyone who uses pendingdelete.net ("PendingDelete.net", "we", "us"), with or without an account. By using the site or creating an account you agree to them. Effective date: October 8, 2026.

1. The service

PendingDelete.net publishes information about domain names: registry status, key dates, expected release (drop) times, lists of names that are expiring or being deleted, and related tools such as domain and IP address lookups. The information comes from public sources, chiefly the registries' own RDAP services and the zone files they publish, and is provided free of charge.

Drop dates and times are estimates worked out from registry data and each registry's published practice. Registries can and do change their schedules, and a name can be renewed or restored at any point before it is released. Nothing on the site guarantees that a name will become available, at a given time or at all, or that you will be able to register it.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. One account per person and per email address. Give a real name and an email address you control, keep your password to yourself, and tell us through the contact form if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done with your account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used to abuse the site, or that appears to have been created automatically. You can ask us to close your account at any time through the contact form.

3. Acceptable use

Use the site for lawful purposes only. Do not try to get around the site's limits or its bot check, flood it with automated requests, probe it for weaknesses, or interfere with other people's use of it. Automated access is welcome through the data files, within the limits stated there. Do not use information from the site to harass anyone or to send unsolicited messages.

4. Newsletter

If you ask for the newsletter when you sign up or on your profile, we may send it to the email address on your account. You can stop it at any time by unticking the box on your profile; each issue will also say how to stop it.

5. Paid services

The site is free today. If we offer paid services later, such as catching or registering domain names, they will come with their own terms, which you will be shown and asked to accept before you pay for anything.

6. Other sites

The site links to registries, registrars and other services that we do not run. Their own terms and policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their content or what they do.

7. Our content

The site's design, text and software belong to PendingDelete.net. Facts about domain names are public registry data and belong to no one; you are free to use what you look up here. Do not copy the site itself or present it as your own.

8. No warranty

The site and everything on it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. Information on the site is not legal, financial or investment advice. Check anything that matters with the registry or your registrar before you rely on it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, PendingDelete.net and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any lost profits, lost domain names or lost data, arising from your use of the site or your inability to use it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free service is nothing.

10. Indemnity

If your use of the site in breach of these terms or of the law leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.

11. Changes

We may change these terms. The effective date at the top says when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms; if you do not, stop using the site and ask us to close your account.

12. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
