Data
The lists on this site are yours to take away: every name the registry has marked pending delete, as CSV files for a spreadsheet or a script, and an RSS feed with one item per release day. No account, no key, no limit for normal use. If you publish something built on them, a link to PendingDelete.net is appreciated.
The files
| Address | What it holds |
|---|---|
| /drop-list.csv | Every name with a release ahead, nearest first — the whole drop list.
Add ?tld=com for one extension; ?syllables=words for the names made of real words,
or ?syllables=2 for one count (see One, Two, and Three Syllable Names). |
| /dropping-today.csv | One day's names — today's unless you add ?d=2026-10-09 (any day within two months either way).
?tld=com narrows it to one extension, ?syllables= works here too; all of them together work.
The same names as Dropping today, all of them, not only the first 3,000. |
| /feed.xml | RSS. One item per upcoming release day — today and the week after — with the number of names, the biggest extensions, and links to the day's page and its CSV file. Subscribe in any feed reader. |
The columns
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| domain | The name, lower case, as the registry has it (an internationalised name as xn--…). |
| tld | The extension, without the dot. |
| length | Characters before the dot. |
| drop_utc | The release time in UTC, YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS. |
| drop_local | The same moment in EDT (America/New_York), the time the pages show. |
| confidence | high: the final pending-delete window, the time being the registry's usual release moment for the extension.
low: the registry timestamp the date rests on looks stale; treat the time as approximate.
(medium belongs to names still in redemption, which these files don't list.) |
| registrar | The registrar of record at the last check, as the registry names it. Empty when the registry doesn't say. |
| checked_utc | When the name was last confirmed with the registry, UTC. |
| syllables | For a name made of real English words, how many syllables it has (from the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary); empty otherwise. |
| words | The words a multi-word name splits into, space-separated (blue cat); empty for a single word or a name that isn't words. |
| linking_domains | How many other domains link to the name, from Common Crawl's web graph.
0: Common Crawl knows the name and found nobody linking to it. Empty: it has never met the name. |
| rank | The name's position among all the domains in that graph (133,241,980 of them at the moment), 1 being the best connected. The pages show it as a score from 0 to 10 (how to read it). Only for a name with at least one linking domain; empty otherwise. |
Good to know
- Each file is rebuilt at most every ten minutes, as the registry checks come in. A day's list grows during the five days before it, as the registry marks names for deletion.
- UTF-8, comma-separated, one header line, lines ending in CR LF. A field holding a comma or a quote is quoted, as spreadsheets expect.
- New columns are added at the end, so a script that reads the first ones by position keeps working.
linking_domainsandrankare the newest (October 2026). - A registrar name that starts with
=,+,-or@is given a leading apostrophe, so a spreadsheet doesn't run it as a formula. - The files travel compressed (gzip) when your tool accepts it, which every browser and
curldoes — about a fifth of the size. - Where the names come from, and what the dates mean: How it works and release times by registry.
Examples
Today's .com names, as a file:
curl -o today-com.csv "https://pendingdelete.net/dropping-today.csv?tld=com"
The whole drop list, straight into a spreadsheet: open https://pendingdelete.net/drop-list.csv and it downloads; Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets open it as a table.
